Recently, we introduced our new sorted word lists and explained you our word profiles. To get the most out of word-grabber.com when it comes to making words out of letters we offer you a third valuable feature: the word search. The new word lists help you to find groups of words whereas the word search allows you to look up one very specific word. The best is, this word search displays word profiles as well. Discover the benefits of this new feature.
1. correct spelling errors
If the word you are checking exists, the word profile will be displayed directly. Otherwise you are going to receive the comment: No matches. This helps you to overcome nerve-wracking discussions on existing and non-existing words in a word game. Simply enter the word you are discussing about and proceed your word game in a better mood.
2. check the validity
Sometimes a word might exist but is not allowed in a certain word game. Therefore type the word into the word search and check what is written in the word list section in the search results. Currently we have three word lists that are used in different word games: TWL in Scrabble and Wordfeud, SOWPODS in Scrabble and Wordfeud, and ENABLE (variation) in Words With Friends.
3. find out the value
The word search also helps to identify the value of a word. Each search result displays the points that can be earned depending on which word game you are playing. The word hallo is worth 8 points in Scrabble and Wordfeud, but 9 points in Words With Friends. If there are two possible words on your rack and you can’t decide which one to choose, this will help you to pick the most valuable word.
4. get references
Another advantage of our word search is the reference section you will get with the search result. There are links referring to dictionaries to get more information on word meaning or grammar, but also links to word lists where that word can be categorized in.
We hope you like this new feature and it helps you having a more easy and less nerve-wracking word game.
